Egypt, Greece ink MoU in field of maritime search, rescue

Minister of Defense and Military Production Mohamed Zaki and Greek Defense Minister Nikolaos Panagiotopoulos inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in the field of maritime search and rescue in the presence of Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry and his Greek counterpart Nikos Dendias.
The agreement came within the framework of boosting cooperation and partnership ties between Egypt and Greece.
The minister of defense and military production lauded the Egyptian-Greek ties in the different military fields, asserting keenness from the part of the command of the Armed Forces on promoting cooperation in the various military domains.
Meanwhile, Panagiotopoulos appreciated Egypt's effective role in its regional and international surroundings.
Following the inking ceremony, Zaki held a meeting with Panagiotopoulos, along with his accompanying delegation.
The meeting tackled a number of issues of mutual interest within the framework of boosting military cooperation in the military field and exchanging expertise between the Egyptian and Greek armed forces.
