Meetings with government official


On November 13, 2022,  President Abd El-Fattah El-Sisi met with Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, Hassan Abdullah, Acting Governor of the Central Bank, Dr. Muhammad Shaker, Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy, Dr. Muhammad Maait, Minister of Finance, and Dr. Assem El Gazzar, Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, Dr. Hani Sweilem, Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation, Mr. Walid Sami, Chairman of the General Authority for the Economic Zone of the Suez Canal, and Major General  Hisham Sweifi, Head of the Engineering Authority of the Armed Forces.

During the meeting, they reviewed the activities and projects of the Suez Canal Economic Zone. In this context, a map of investment projects in the Suez Canal Economic Zone was presented. They also reviewed the existing efforts to strengthen these projects through the various industrial zones to be established in cooperation with foreign partners. In addition to that, they reviewed efforts to localize new and renewable energy projects and green fuels, especially green hydrogen and green ammonia projects, in cooperation with foreign partnerships, in order to benefit from the fruitful results of the Sharm el-Sheikh Global Climate Summit COP27 in this context.

On November 14, 2022, President Abd El-Fattah El-Sisi met with Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, and a number of ministers and senior officials. The meeting dealt with the executive position of the Grand Egyptian Museum project, and the developments of construction work, especially with regard to all related facilities and services.

On November 14, 2022, President Abd El-Fattah El-Sisi met with Dr. Mustafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, and Mr. Ahmad Issa, Minister of Tourism and Antiquities.

The meeting discussed the "future strategy for the tourism sector". The President directed the coordination and integration between the various concerned agencies.

In this regard, the Minister of Tourism and Antiquities presented the ministry's future plans with the aim of stimulating the tourism investment climate in all tourist destinations nationwide, in addition to increasing the capacity of airlines available to Egypt, especially low-cost ones, as well as achieving integration with the country's development efforts, as well as institutional development. And the legislative framework for the tourism sector, which helps to raise the quality of tourism services provided and enhance the flow rates of internal and external tourism at the level of the Republic.

On November 15, 2022, President Abd-El Fattah El-Sisi met with Lieutenant General Ahmad Khaled, Commander of the Strategic Command and Supervisor of Military Industrialization, Major General Hisham Sweifi, Head of the Engineering Authority of the Armed Forces, Major General Ahmad El Shazly, Head of the Financial Affairs Authority of the Armed Forces, and Major General Ahmed Al Azazi, Director of the Major Projects Department of the Armed Forces, Rear Admiral Muhammad Fekry, Assistant Commander of the Naval Forces for Engineering Affairs, and Dr. Ismail Shaker, Chairman of the Shaker Consulting Group.

The official spokesman for the Presidency of the Republic stated that the President was briefed on the development of East Alexandria, within the integrated development plan for the development of Alexandria Governorate.

In this context, details of the development of the East Alexandria region were presented, especially with regard to the establishment of the new city of Abu Qir, which is the first Egyptian city to be built entirely on an artificial island in the Mediterranean. It was established with the aim of becoming an investment and commercial city, as well as adding a new urban space to the region.

In this context, the President directed the continuation of existing efforts to complete development projects in the eastern Alexandria region according to the highest international standards, within the framework of the comprehensive development of the governorate in all sectors.

On November 15, 2022, President Abd El-Fattah El-Sisi met with Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, Major General Ahmad El Shazly, Head of the Financial Affairs Authority of the Armed Forces, Major General Walid Abu Al-Majd, Director of the National Service Projects Agency for the Armed Forces, and Major General Muhammad Anwar, head of the Board of Directors of the National Petroleum Company, and Major General Yasser El-Gamal, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Company for the Production and Bottling of Natural Water, Safi.

The meeting reviewed the position of offering companies affiliated to the National Service Authority for Stock Exchange trading.

On November 15, 2022, President Abd El-Fattah El-Sisi met with Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, Dr. Hani Swailem, Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation, Major General Walid Abu Al-Magd, Director of the National Service Projects Agency of the Armed Forces, and Major General Tawfiq Sami, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Land Reclamation Company.

The meeting discussed the developments of national projects for land reclamation and agricultural production, and providing water allocations for them, especially in Toshka area.

The president directed to prepare integrated studies to select the best types of crops and plants, in a way that helps rationalize water consumption and make the best use of the available sources in the country, in parallel with the various existing mechanisms to maximize the use of water resources according to the state's comprehensive strategy in this context, especially through modern irrigation systems,  wastewater treatment and water desalination plants, as well as the agricultural greenhouse system. The president also directed to rely on agricultural means that are commensurate with the nature of the land and climate for each agricultural region, within the framework of the state’s strategy to increase the area of agricultural land.

On November 16, 2022, President Abd El-Fattah El-Sisi met with Major General Al-Sayed Al-Ghali, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Martyrs Honoring Fund, and Major General Ahmad Al-Ashaal, Executive Director of the Fund.

The official spokesman for the Presidency of the Republic stated that the meeting focused on reviewing the annual report of the activity of the Martyrs Honoring Fund, in coordination with all state agencies, including ministries and government agencies, with the aim of providing the best benefits and service for the benefit of all categories and family members of the beneficiaries of the fund.

On November 17, 2022, President Abd El-Fattah El-Sisi met with Counselor Omar Marawan, Minister of Justice. The meeting dealt with following up the efforts of the Ministry of Justice to comprehensively develop the state’s litigation system and speed up the settlement of citizens’ cases handled in courts.

In this context, the President was briefed on the process of comprehensive development of the litigation system and the enhancement of the performance of the courts all over the Republic, and the impact of this on the completion of late cases and ending their backlog, especially in the family courts.

The president also followed the efforts of the Ministry of Justice to prepare a group of experts from the Ministry of Awqaf, Al-Azhar and Dar Al-Iftaa, in order to seek their help in cases of defamation of religions, in addition to what is being done to qualify them from a legal point of view to identify the elements of crime and other circumstances attached to it.

The Minister of Justice also reviewed efforts to develop the real estate registration system, as the President directed to continue opening new branches for documentation, and to allow them to work during the evening periods to meet the needs of all categories of citizens at the level of the Republic.

 On November 19, 2022, President Abd El-Fattah El-Sisi met with Major General Amir Sayed Ahmad, Advisor to the President of the Republic for Urban Planning, Major General Hisham Sweifi, Head of the Engineering Authority of the Armed Forces, Major General Ashraf El-Araby, Head of the Consulting Office of the Engineering Authority, and Brigadier General Abd El-Aziz El-Feki, Assistant Head of the Engineering Authority for roads designs.

On November, 22, 2022, President Abd El-Fattah El-Sisi met with Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, Major General Mahmoud Tawfiq, Minister of Interior, Dr. Assem Al-Jazzar, Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, Major General Hisham Amna, Minister of Local Development, and Major General Amir Sayed Ahmad, Advisor to the President of the Republic for Urban Planning, Major General Hisham Sweifi, Head of the Engineering Authority of the Armed Forces. The meeting discussed the development of Warraq Island.

On November, 22, 2022, President Abd El-Fattah El-Sisi met with Major General Hisham Sweifi, Head of the Engineering Authority of the Armed Forces, Major General Ahmad Al-Shazly, Head of the Financial Affairs Authority of the Armed Forces, and Major General Essam Al-Sheikh, Director of the Vehicles Department of the Armed Forces.

The meeting reviewed efforts to provide equipment and machinery for national development projects at the level of the Republic.

On November 23, 2022, President Abd El-Fattah El-Sisi met with Dr. Muhammad Mukhtar Gomaa, Minister of Endowments, Major General Muhammad Amin, Advisor to the President of the Republic for Financial Affairs, and Mr. Muhammad Abd El-Nabi, Assistant Minister of Endowments for Endowment Authority Affairs.

The meeting discussed efforts to manage and develop the Awqaf Authority's assets.

During the meeting, the Minister of Awqaf presented the ministry’s efforts in the field of charity and the sacrificial and feeding (sukuk) project, in light of the president’s directives to all state institutions to intensify their programs for social protection, explaining that the (sukuk) project enjoys the confidence of citizens and develops year after year, as the total amount of (sukuk) collected this year reached about 218 million pounds, with an increase of about 75 million pounds, an increase of about 53% over last year.

On November 24, 2022, President Abd El-Fattah El-Sisi met with Lieutenant General Osama Rabie, Head of the Suez Canal Authority. The new Suez Canal, which was inaugurated in 2015, led to doubling the annual revenues of the canal, exceeding US 7 billion dollars anually. Similarly, the number of ships crossing reached about 70 ships per day, which contributed to efforts to support the national economy and provide foreign currency.

On November 28, 2022, President Abd El-Fattah El-Sisi met with Dr. Mustafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, and Dr. Rania Al-Mashat, Minister of International Cooperation. The meeting reviewed the results of the COP27 World Climate Summit in mobilizing development funds for national projects for green transformation.

On November 28, 2022, President Abd El-Fattah El-Sisi met with Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, and Dr. Hala Al-Saeed, Minister of Planning and Economic Development. The meeting dealt with the economic indicators in light of the continuing repercussions of the global conditions. Dr. Hala Al-Said reviewed the development of economic indicators all over the world, which are affected by the repercussions of the Russian-Ukrainian crisis, the slowdown in the global growth rate, and the repercussions of those repercussions on the national economic activity.

The President was also briefed on the developments of Egypt's support to African countries to confront the repercussions of climate change, with the aim of improving the quality of life in the poorest villages on the continent level in accordance with sustainable development standards, within the framework of the "Decent Life" initiative in order to enhance Africa's ability to withstand climate change.

On November 29, 2022, President Abd El-Fattah El-Sisi met with Lieutenant General Ahmad Khaled, Commander of the Strategic Command and Supervisor of Military Industrialization, and Colonel Ahmad Adel  Mujahid from the Strategic Command.

The meeting dealt with following up efforts to promote and develop military industrialization.

The President directed the continuation of efforts to support the military and defense industrial development sector at the national level and the transfer and localization of advanced technology in this context.

During the meeting, Lieutenant General Ahmad Khaled presented plans to develop military industrialization and production, including the exchange of experiences with well-established international bodies in this field.

 

On November 29, 2022, President Abd El-Fattah El-Sisi met with Major General Amir Sayed Ahmad, Advisor to the President of the Republic for Urban Planning, and Major General Ahmad Al-Azazy, Director of Major National Projects in the Armed Forces.

The meeting reviewed the executive and constructional position related to the development of neighborhoods in the governorates of Cairo and Alexandria.
