The first meeting of the Egyptian-Qatari military committee was held under the co-chairmanship of Chief of Staff of the Egyptian Armed Forces Lt. General Osama Askar and Chief of Staff of the Qatari Armed Forces Lt. General Salem bin Hamad al Nabit.

Also, a meeting was held between the Egyptian and the Qatari military officials, during which they discussed a host of issues of mutual interest.

The Qatari military official along with his accompanying delegation are currently paying a visit to Egypt.

Upon arrival, an official reception ceremony was held for the Qatari official and the national anthem of the two countries were played.

Asakar and al Nabit underlined the importance of promoting military cooperation between the two countries as well as exchanging expertise.

The two top officials inspected one of the Armed Forces industrial edifices, including the production lines of engineering industries, as well as the naval forces command and its units and activities.
