Egypt’s Dar Al Ifta , the body responsible for issuing religious edicts, announced on Monday that it will sight the crescent of the holy month of Ramadan on Tuesday.

On its Facebook account, Dar Al Ifta  said that there will be a live broadcast on the Egyptian television and the official page Dar Al Ifta  on Facebook after sunset.

The holy month is the ninth in the Islamic calendar, the month in which the Quran was revealed to Prophet Mohammed.
