Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli chaired a meeting Saturday 25/03/2023 to review proposals aiming to improve the general appearance of the Ring Road.

The Faculties of Engineering at Cairo and Ain Shams Universities prepared the proposals as part of preparations for the opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum.

The Faculty of Engineering, Cairo University recommended planting palm trees on both sides of the road to provide an appealing aspect and operate as a windbreak, as well as the development of a tourist activity area overlooking the Pyramids and the Grand Egyptian Museum.

The proposal also included the creation of murals on the road showing Egypt's archaeological landmarks.

Meanwhile, Ain Shams University recommended the construction of weather-resistant perforated metal panels, as well as the installation of solar lighting poles, advertising screens, green components for shading and sustainability, as well as a stone wall ornamented with pharaonic themes.
