Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation Hani Sewilam asserted that the ministry is taking all necessary measures to check on the water distribution system and canals network in the various governorates to provide needs for all vital sectors.

The minister's remarks were made during his meeting with a number of ministry officials to follow up the efforts exerted to upgrade the efficiency of the water system nationwide.

The minister also was briefed on the plans to periodically clear up the water canals in the various governorates to ease the flow of water for agricultural lands and follow up the Nile water levels.
