President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met, on Tuesday 23-5-2023, with Chairperson of the African Union Commission, Mr. Moussa Faki Mahamat in Sharm El-Sheikh.

The meeting focused on the most prominent dossiers on the agenda of the African Union, particularly economic integration, regional integration, peace and security and the Union's institutional reform.

The meeting also witnessed an agreement on continuing close cooperation and coordination between the two sides in this regard. This comes in light of Egypt’s status as one of the major cornerstones for advancing joint African action, and in an effort to benefit from Egypt's political and developmental role for the service of the African continent in an effective manner.
