Supply and Internal Trade Minister Ali El Moselhi said, 25-5-2023, that Egypt's reserves of strategic commodities are safe and sufficient for several months.

He added that the country's strategic wheat reserve is sufficient for 5.9 months, adding that local wheat supplies till now reached 2.7 million tons.

Moselhi said Egypt's wheat consumption is estimated at 800,000 tons per month.

He said Egypt's stockpile of cooking oil is sufficient for five months.
