Sisi: Egypt keen on maintaining consultations with IMF

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi reiterated on Wednesday 31/5/2023 Egypt's keenness on maintaining consultations with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) as part of efforts to achieve sustainable development, Presidential Spokesman Ahmed Fahmi said.
He said the President received a phone call from IMF director Kristalina Georgieva during which the international official lauded government efforts to carry out economic reform program.
She also praised national economy's resilience in face of global crises.
Sisi expounded Egypt's strategic approach to achieve sustainable development through luring more investments and encouraging the private sector to pump money in market.
The President noted that partnership with the IMF creates a positive environment for all investors and global money markets as regards the Egyptian economy performance.
