Since President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi took over the rule of the country, he has given people of determination special and different attention, providing them with all care and support, and working to provide all necessary means for them to obtain all their rights, through many presidential initiatives, legislation and directives, most notable of these efforts:

1. 1- The state was keen to include in the Constitution in 2014 a set of articles that actually establish the legislative framework to empower persons with disabilities.
2. 2- Establishing the “National Council for Persons with Disabilities” by President El Sisi’s Decree No. 11 of 2019, which aims to promote, develop and protect the rights of persons with disabilities.
3. 3- Issuing Law No. 200 of 2020 regarding the establishment of the “Support Fund for Persons with Disabilities” headed by the Prime Minister.
4. 4- In 2016, the state launched the presidential initiative “Inclusion.. Empowerment.. Participation” to support and empower people with disabilities.
5. 5- President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi announced that 2018 would be the Year of People of determination.
6. 6- The state allocated percentages for people with special needs for their permanent representation in the House of Representatives.
7. 7- Using “Braille” to make it easier for people with visual disabilities to express their opinions on the 2019 constitutional amendments.
8. 8- Establishing the “Capable with Different” Fund to support persons with disabilities issued by Law No. 200 of 2020.
9. 9- The World Youth Forums witnessed wide participation from people with special needs.
10. 10- President El- Sisi directed support to the resources of the “Ataa” Fund for the care of people with special needs in the amount of 100 million pounds.
11. 11- The state launched the Integrated Services Card among many initiatives to support the rights of people of determination in various fields, and allocated 5% of housing units for people of determination within social housing projects.
12. 12- The state worked to implement the “Accessibility Code” standards to facilitate roads and traffic for people of determination.
13. 13- Working on the national plan for persons with disabilities, which includes health, educational and cultural aspects, and is integrated with what was stated in the “Strategic Framework and National Plan for Childhood and Motherhood (2018-2030).
14. 14- Launching the technological availability program to support 3,000 special education and integration schools, support for 600 of which has already been completed, the program for training 30,000 teachers in those schools on using assistive technology in education has been completed, and the training of 28,000 teachers of them has been completed.
15. 15- Launching a rehabilitation program for 200 integrated community centers, of which 56 centers have been completed, with 300 government facilities being transformed into high-availability facilities using assistive technologies.
16. 16- The Ministry of Communications is working on developing smart applications to help people with disabilities find employment, which has led to Egypt being selected among the ten most innovative countries in the field of employment policies for people with disabilities.
17. 17- “Tamkeen” competition, which seeks to motivate innovators and emerging companies to develop software, mobile phone applications, and assistive technology in the Arabic language, as part of the state’s commitment to implementing what is stated in the Persons with Disabilities Law.
18. 18- Obligating all governmental and non-governmental agencies, the business sector, and every employer who employs 20 or more workers to appoint at least 5% of the number of employees from persons with disabilities.
19. 19- The Civil Service Law affirmed that an employee with a disability is granted the right to be transported to the workplace closest to his place of residence.
20. 20- The Ministry of Labor and the Central Agency for Organization and Administration are following up on the implementation of the rights and benefits related to the employment of people with disabilities, including reducing working hours by one hour per day with pay, and the possibility of combining that hour with the hours granted to a pregnant or breastfeeding mother.
21. 21- Pay attention to the right of persons with disabilities to combine two pensions due to them if the eligibility conditions are met.

22. 22- One billion pounds has been allocated to education programs for people with disabilities, including the “Curriculum Digitization Project,” which serves 18,000 male and female students.

23. 23- The Ministry of Education integrates students with mild disabilities and hearing disabilities into general education and technical education schools after passing the basic education stage.

24. 24- Enrolling people with mental disabilities in intellectual education schools and classes.

25. Ministry of Education trained (5,400) teachers of people with disabilities on computer uses and techniques to facilitate communication with students.
