Mr. Lecornu conveyed to the President the greetings and appreciation of French President Emmanuel Macron, praising the growing cooperation between the two countries in all fields and expressing keenness to continue strengthening them, especially at the level of military cooperation.

President El-Sisi asked for his greetings to be conveyed to the French president.

The meeting touched on ways to advance the distinguished relations between the two countries.

It also touched on the regional situation, particularly the developments in the Gaza Strip.

The importance of avoiding the expansion of conflict and escalation in the region was emphasized.

 President El-Sisi reviewed Egypt’s intensive efforts towards reaching a ceasefire and delivering humanitarian aid to the people of the Gaza Strip, in addition to receiving injured Palestinians and evacuating foreign nationals.

Mr. Lecornu affirmed his country’s appreciation for the ongoing Egyptian efforts and highlighted the pivotal role that Egypt plays in maintaining regional security and stability.
