PM Witnesses handing Over Contracts of Housing Units in New 6th of October City to Beneficiaries

Egypt’s Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly handed over, on Saturday 30/12/2023, housing unit contracts to beneficiaries in New October City, part of the presidential initiative “Housing for All Egyptians.”

Madbouly was accompanied by Dr. Assem Al-Gazzar, Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, and engineer/ Mai Abd. Al-Hamid, CEO of the Social Housing and Real Estate Finance Support Fund, Engineer Ahmed Omran, Assistant Vice President of the Urban Communities Authority, and Engineer Muhammad Abdel-Maqsoud, Head of the City Authority.

It is noteworthy that the area of “Housing for All Egyptians” project, West Airport area in the New October City, is about 3,500 acres, in which 35,000 housing units are being built, 26,000 of which have been completed, and 9,000 units will be completed before June 30, 2024.

The media office of the cabinet published an explanatory video on the housing units project in the New 6th of October City as part of the presidential initiative “Housing for All Egyptians”.

The area of the project is 3,500 feddans where 35,000 housing units are being implemented. As many as 26,000 were accomplished.

As many as 5,000 housing units were handed over to the citizens.

The project includes implementing 25 services buildings with the cost of EGP 700 million.

The infrastructure of the project is being built at a total cost of EGP 11.5 billion.

Press Conference in New October 

In press statements on Saturday 30/12/2023, Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly declared that the dream of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi is to build one million housing units for low-income youth and families is about to come true.

Madbouly noted the government has delivered housing units today as part of “Housing Unit for all Egyptians,” and within a short period the number will be completed.

He pointed out that project is one of the greatest adopted by the Egyptian state during modern era, noting the program will continue regardless of the state’s conditions, because it serves a very important sector of the young people.

Madbouly also said: “We have one million housing units in a housing project for all Egyptians, and if the average family is 4 to 5 individuals, about 5 million Egyptian citizens would benefit from this program, in addition to the 300,000 housing units for unsafe houses.”

He stressed that the initiative is one of the most important projects of the Egyptian state.
