President Abdel Fattah al Sisi spoke over the phone with President of the Republic of Mauritania, Mohamed Ould Ghazouani, to congratulate him on Mauritania‘s assumption of the new rotating presidency of the African Union for the year 2024.

The President emphasized Egypt’s readiness to provide its expertise in this regard to the brothers in Mauritania in order to bolster joint African action across various levels.

The Mauritanian President valued the kind gesture by President El-Sisi, reiterating his country’s keenness on holding constant consultations and coordination with Egypt, given the outstanding relations between the two countries.

During their call, the two Presidents discussed bilateral relations and confirmed commitment to further exploring new prospects of cooperation in accordance with the aspirations and interests of the two peoples.
