Egyptian-US-Israeli meeting Sunday to discuss reopening Rafah border crossing

Egypt has made it crystal clear to all parties that Rafah border crossing will not be reopened so long as its Palestinian side is under Israel's control, a high level source said.
Egypt is holding Israel accountable for the closure of the land crossing and the exacerbating humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip, the same source told Al Qahera News on Saturday 01/6/2024, citing intensified Egyptian efforts to resume Gaza's ceasefire talks based the latest proposal announced by Washington.
Meanwhile, Egyptian, US, and Israeli officials are expected to meet tomorrow in Cairo to discuss the possibility of reopening Rafah border crossing, while Egypt is upholding to its position as regards Israel's total withdrawal from the Palestinian side if the terminal, the source added.
