Head of the National Council for Women (NCW) Amal Ammar is taking part in the proceedings of the ESCWA committee in Oman. 

In a statement issued on Sunday, the NCW said that the 12th session of the ESCWA women's committee will present progress in implementing activities related to women's issues since the previous session held in October 2023 by the ESCWA executive secretariat and member states.

The NCW explained that the high-level Arab meeting comes as a culmination of the efforts of the Arab countries and the integrated work program implemented by ESCWA and its partners to review the progress achieved in implementing the (Beijing + 30) Declaration and platform for action after 30 years of their adoption.
