FM Delivers Keynote Address at Egyptian Council for Foreign Affairs Annual Conference

Badr Abdelatty, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigration, participated in the Annual Conference of the Egyptian Council for Foreign Affairs on Thursday, January 30, 2025, at the Council's headquarters, where he delivered the keynote address.

In his speech, the Minister highlighted the unprecedented challenges facing the region, particularly the Palestinian issue. He reviewed Egypt's efforts in this regard, focusing on attempts to manage the post-war situation in the Gaza Strip, stabilize the ceasefire, and enable displaced persons to return to their homes. He also emphasized the international community's responsibility to support reconstruction efforts. The Minister underscored the irreplaceable role of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) during the early recovery and reconstruction phases in Gaza. He stressed the continued Egyptian efforts to overcome obstacles and maintain the ceasefire to alleviate the humanitarian suffering in Gaza.
