Gibran Meets Saudi Investors to Discuss Employment Opportunities for Egyptian Workforce

Minister of Labor Mohamed Gibran met with Saudi businessmen and investors, representing 35 companies, at the Egyptian Embassy in Riyadh, during his participation in the International Labor Market Conference. The meeting was attended by Ambassador Ahmed Farouk, Consul General Tarek Al-Meligy, Deputy Ambassador Diaa Hamad, Labor Office Head Mohamed Alyan, and Labor Attaché Ali Khalaf.
Minister Gibran outlined Egypt's efforts, under President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi’s leadership, to develop the skills of young Egyptians for both domestic and international job markets. He highlighted the Ministry’s collaboration with the private sector to enhance training systems, mentioning a professional examination agreement with Saudi Arabia to ensure a skilled workforce.
The Consul General emphasized the Embassy’s efforts to raise awareness among Egyptian workers about their rights and obligations. The discussions also addressed the labor needs of Saudi investors, with Minister Gibran presenting Egypt's secure investment climate and assuring continued communication to meet shared goals.
The meeting concluded with the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Labor and Rawaj Company for Administrative Resources Development, aimed at recruiting Egyptian workers for international employment.
