FM congratulates Lebanese designate PM Nawaf Salam on winning House confidence

Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigration Badr Abdelatty met on Friday with Lebanese Prime Minister-designate Nawaf Salam.
Abdelatty congratulated the Lebanese Prime Minister on the confidence of the members of the House of Representatives in him and his nomination by a large majority to form the new government.
He expressed Egypt's full support and praised his announcement that the new Lebanese government will be inclusive and will not exclude any party, which will contribute to achieving national consensus.
Abdelatty also expressed Egypt’s aspiration to cooperate with the Lebanese Prime Minister and his government to enhance bilateral cooperation between the two brotherly countries in all fields, through developing the infrastructure and contributing effectively to reconstruction, indicating the aspiration to convene the joint higher committee between the two countries at the level of prime ministers in Cairo after the formation of the Lebanese government.
Minister of Foreign Affairs stressed Egypt’s position supporting the implementation of the agreement to cease hostilities in southern Lebanon, and the demand for the immediate, complete and undiminished withdrawal of Israeli forces from southern Lebanon, and enabling the Lebanese army to implement Resolution 1701.
