Minister of Foreign Affairs and Immigration, Badr Abdelatty met on Friday with Prime Minister of Lebanon's Caretaker Government Najib Mikati, during his visit to Beirut.

Minister Abdelatty expressed Egypt's great appreciation for the efforts made by Prime Minister Mikati during his tenure as Prime Minister of Lebanon since September 2021, and his success in managing affairs with great wisdom in light of the grave challenges facing brotherly Lebanon, as well as managing the affairs of the state during the presidential vacuum of more than two years.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs stressed that his visit to Beirut comes within the framework of expressing Egypt's full solidarity with Lebanon during this critical stage, and the sincere desire to provide all forms of support that contribute to restoring security, stability and calm to Lebanon, and enabling Lebanese national institutions to play their role.
