Madbouly follows up with Amr Talaat on the most important work files

Today, Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, met with Dr. Amr Talaat, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, to follow up on the most important files of the ministry's work.
During the meeting, the minister presented the key efforts being made by the ministry in the field of enhancing digital transformation, discussing the current status of plans to expand the automation of government services, particularly through the "Digital Egypt" platform, in pursuit of the state's goal to provide various services digitally.
He explained the details of the services that are set to be launched soon via the platform and the planned timeline for that.
The Minister of Communications and Information Technology also addressed the ministry's efforts to provide technical and technological support for various initiatives launched by the state, highlighting the important role concerning the automation of procedures for establishing and licensing companies, as well as the ongoing coordination to launch the "Unified Services Card", in addition to existing training programmes aimed at developing the digital and technical capabilities of those responsible for providing various services.
Dr. Amr Talaat also referred to the outcomes of his participation in the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2025, which was recently held in Barcelona, Spain, and is the largest annual global event bringing together stakeholders in the telecommunications and information technology industry worldwide.
The minister clarified that he attended, on the sidelines of this prominent event, a celebration held by Ookla, the global leader in measuring and evaluating internet speeds, to receive the award for Egypt as having the fastest fixed internet in Africa in 2024, which crowns the efforts made in developing the digital infrastructure across the country.
He was keen, at the conclusion of his participation in the event, to hold intensive discussions with officials from several global companies to attract new investments in outsourcing and to enhance cooperation in the fields of building digital capabilities, artificial intelligence, and supporting startups, as well as holding meetings with international government officials to explore opportunities for advancing frameworks for joint cooperation.
