Egyptian Countryside, El Sewedy Watanya partner on irrigation tech

The Egyptian Countryside Development Company signed a cooperation protocol with El Sewedy Watanya for Industrial and Engineering Projects to provide modern agricultural equipment, including pivot irrigation systems, to farmers and young investors benefiting from the country’s land reclamation project.

Under the agreement, El Sewedy Watanya will supply a range of advanced irrigation and farming equipment at competitive prices while also handling infrastructure work for the Egyptian Countryside Development Company projects. Special financial facilities will be offered to ease the financial burden on farmers and investors.

The Egyptian Countryside Development Company Chairman Amr Abdel Wahab emphasised the company’s commitment to supporting farmers in the 1.5 Million Feddan Project, highlighting the role of private sector partnerships in national development.

He noted that the agreement would enhance agricultural productivity and sustainability, with additional financing options available through the Agricultural Bank of Egypt and other local banks.
