Egypt to unveil ‘national economic development narrative’ in June
Tuesday، 29 April 2025 - 09:55 PM

Minister of Planning, Economic Development, and International Cooperation, Rania Al-Mashat revealed on Tuesday that the government will announce the details of its “National Economic Development Narrative” in June.
This strategic blueprint will outline clear targets for macroeconomic policies, foreign direct investment (FDI), industrial growth, and employment, in line with Egypt’s Vision 2030 and the ongoing economic reform agenda.
Speaking at a press conference following a weekly government meeting chaired by Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly, Minister Al-Mashat highlighted the importance of this narrative in shaping Egypt’s economic future and boosting investor confidence. The announcement follows Egypt’s participation in the spring meetings of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank, where the country’s economic progress was discussed with international stakeholders.
The National Economic Development Narrative aims to solidify Egypt’s commitment to structural reforms while prioritising sustainable development, job creation, and industrial diversification. By aligning with both national and global objectives, the plan seeks to create a robust economic environment that attracts foreign investment and accelerates industrial growth.
