Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation Alaa Farouq has stressed the importance of implementing President Abdel Fattah El Sisi's directives for promoting cooperation between Egypt and African countries, especially in the farming domain, to increase chances of achieving food security.

The minister's statements came during a meeting, on Sunday 11-05-2025, with Dr Sherif El Gabali, Head of the African Affairs Committee at the House of Representatives, to explore agricultural investment chances with African countries.

Minister Farouq pointed out that many African countries possess chances of success in the farming domains to expand areas cultivated with key strategic crops.

The participants agreed to invite businessmen and investors to establish partnerships between the government, the private sector and national banks with the aim of boosting investment chances with African countries.
