Egypt, World Bank explore deeper social protection ties

Egypt’s Minister of Social Solidarity Maya Morsy received the World Bank delegation headed by Regional Director for Human Development in the Middle East and North Africa Region Fadia Saadah and the Country Director for Egypt Stéphane Guimbert to explore future areas of cooperation.
The meeting highlighted the importance of linking early childhood development and the care economy with social protection efforts. Morsy underscored Egypt’s commitment to drawing on global experiences in this field to strengthen national programs.
Both sides reaffirmed their shared interest in deepening collaboration and promoting Egypt’s social protection model as a reference for other countries.
