Eid Al-Adha: June 5–9 Declared Paid Official Holiday for Private Sector in Egypt

Labor Minister Mohamed Gebran announced on Sunday, June 1st, 2025, that the period from Thursday, June 5th to Monday, June 9th, 2025, will be an official paid holiday for private sector employees in celebration of Eid Al-Adha.
Gebran emphasized that granting the holiday and any required work during this period must comply with Article 52 of the Labor Law and its executive regulations.
This decision comes as part of the government's ongoing efforts to unify the dates of official holidays across all sectors of the state whenever possible, in order to achieve the social and national objectives of public holidays during festive occasions.
