Saturday، 14 June 2025 - 02:44 PM

The Hajj mission announced Saturday 14/6/2025 that the daily airlift for transporting lottery pilgrims is still operating, facilitating their return from Mecca and Medina to Egypt after completing their Hajj rituals.

The assistant minister of interior for administrative affairs and executive head of the Hajj mission, in statements to MENA, said that preparations have been stepped up at King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah and Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Airport in Medina to ensure a smooth and easy return process for pilgrims.

Daily flight schedules are posted in hotels, and pilgrims' luggage is collected and transported by dedicated vehicles under the supervision of mission officers, the head of the hajj mission said.

He added that pilgrims are then transferred to Jeddah and Medina airports via modern and air-conditioned buses, accompanied by mission officers.

The mission's operations room is closely following up on the situation of Egyptian pilgrims and their travel at Egyptian airports, according to the hajj mission head.

He added that this runs concurrently with the movement of lottery pilgrims, who have arrived in Mecca before Hajj from Mecca to Medina.

These pilgrims will spend several days in Medina, residing in hotels near the Prophet's Mosque for easy access to prayers at Al Masjid Al Nabawi, the head of the mission said, adding that group visits to Al-Rawda Al-Sharifa will also be organized for them.
