Saturday، 14 June 2025 - 07:41 PM

“Egypt has drawn up a preemptive plan to secure the state's needs of petroleum and natural gas supplies across sectors, including electricity, amid rising regional tensions,” according to Cabinet spokesperson Mohamed el Homosani.
In televised statements, the spokesman stated that three liquefied natural gas ships have arrived. One is operational; the others are being connected. Contracts for fuel and gas imports are in place.
He added that daily coordination continues between the Prime Minister, relevant ministers, and the Central Bank to secure needed reserves.
Air travel remains unaffected, with the aviation ministry monitoring flight safety despite some regional airspace closures.
