Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade Hassan el Khatib conducted an inspection tour of the Nasr City Free Zone to inspect the main production lines and production processes of number of companies operating in the zone.

The minister also reviewed the companies’ expansion plans in the Egyptian market during the upcoming period and inspected the main production lines of Leoni Wiring Systems Egypt for assembling and manufacturing all wiring and electrical systems and related accessories for all types of cars, vehicles and operating systems for European factories.

The investment cost of the project amounts to dlrs 13.8 million, and the company provides approximately 4,395 job opportunities.

It is located in three free zones, including the General Free Zone in Nasr City, the Robbiki Free Zone in Badr City and the Free Zone in Assiut Governorate.

Khatib also visited Methode Electronics Egypt Limited for manufacturing and assembling all electronic devices for the automotive industry, as well as all types of electrical and electromechanical switches, power products, and remote control units for the automotive, electrical appliances and transportation.

It also produces all metal and plastic dies and molds for the automotive industry and works in the field of pressing, stamping and coating all types of metals for the automotive and electrical appliance industries, as well as painting, coating and laser engraving all plastic parts and raw materials needed for the automotive and electrical appliance industries.

The company is committed to exporting 80% of its production.

The company's investment cost amounts to 37.2 million euros. It is built on an area of ​​15,634 square meters and provides approximately 1,833 job opportunities.

Meanwhile, the Minister toured Misr Industry and Trade Company (MINTRA) for producing all types of stationery, office supplies, packaging and plastic supplies for offices and homes, in addition to producing all types of bags, bed sheets, towels and all footwear except leather shoes.

The company's investment cost amounts to dlrs 86.4 million and it is located in the General Free Zone in Nasr City, the Private Free Zone in 6th of October and the Industrial Zone south of 10th of Ramadan City, providing about 1,944 job opportunities.
