Dr. Badr Abdelatty, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigration, held a series of phone calls on the evening of Monday, June 23, 2025, with His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar; His Highness Prince Faisal bin Farhan, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia; Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Bahrain; Mr. Abdullah Al-Yahya, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Kuwait; Dr. Fouad Hussein, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Iraq; and Mr. Ayman Safadi, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.

The calls addressed the rapidly evolving developments in the region in light of the blatant violation of the sovereignty of the State of Qatar.

During the calls, Minister Abdelatty affirmed Egypt's full solidarity with the State of Qatar following the recent Iranian attacks targeting its territory. He stressed Egypt’s condemnation of any infringement on the sovereignty and security of Qatar and its rejection of all forms of violations against the security, safety, sovereignty, and stability of fellow Arab states.

The discussions also covered the repercussions of the attacks on Qatar and the threat they pose to regional security and stability, as well as the escalating military tensions and their dangers.

The ministers agreed on the critical importance of de-escalation, restraint, and the need for concerted regional and international efforts to contain the rising tensions and restore calm in the region.
