President Abdel Fattah El Sisi signed a power handover document with Interim President Adly Mansour at Ittihadiya Palace in Cairo's Heliopolis neighborhood.

Following is the text of the power transfer document:

On behalf of the people of Egypt, the source of authority and the spark of the January 25 Revolution in 2011 which embodied the nation's aspirations and hopes and the revolution of the 30th of June 2013 which complemented the January 25 revolution, corrected its path and regained the homeland, and in implementation of the second milestone of the road map of the future of the Egyptian people, and based on the decision of the Presidential Elections Committee No. 36 in 2014 declaring the win of Abdel Fattah Khalil Said el-Sisi in the presidential election, which was held for Egyptian expatriates during the period from 15 to 19 May, 2014, and inside the country during the period from 26 to 28 May, 2014, and after taking of the constitutional oath before the General Assembly of the Supreme Constitutional Court, the power in the country is now delivered to Abdel Fattah El Sisi by Interim President Adly Mansour.

The document carried the date of the 10th of Shaaban of the Hijri year 1435, corresponding to 8 June 2014.
