The January 25th Revolution 5th anniversary

Egypt celebrates the fifth anniversary of the January 25 Revolution, in which millions of people gathered in squares all over Egypt raising the slogans of “Bread, Freedom and Social Justice".

Egypt salutes the January Revolution martyrs who sacrificed their lives so that Egypt would restore its place and end injustice. The January 25 Revolution, was a turning point in the history of Egyptians who have chosen freedom, social justice and human dignity. President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi confirmed in a statement on 24 January 2016 on the occasion marking the January 25 Revolution 5th anniversary that Egypt of today is not that Egypt of yesterday. He added that we are building together a developed and modern civil State that hold high the values of democracy, where the people who revolted for their freedom and dignity corrected the track and modified the march through the June 30 Revolution.
El-Sisi addressed the Egyptians saying that we celebrate the anniversary of the January 25 Revolution where Egyptian young people sacrificed their lives for pushing new blood in the life of Egypt in a bid to revive noble values that we have lost for years and to establish the new Egypt in which its sons could live in dignity within a framework of social justice that prevails in every part of our country. The president saluted the martyrs of Egypt who desired the progress for this nation and dignity and honor for its people.
