On 24/8/2017, British Secretary of State for Middle East Affairs,  Alistair Burt, visited Egypt and  was received by Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry. The two sides discussed various aspects of the political, economic and trade relations between the two countries, stressing the special attention given by Britain to strengthen its partnership with Egypt.

On 10/5/2017 , Prime Minister Sherif Ismail visited Britain to participate in   London conference on "Somalia" held in cooperation with the British government, the Somali government and the United Nations.

 The conference tackled a number of issues, on top  of which are means of supporting stability in Somalia through enhancing security to counter terrorism, achieving political and economic reform, and creating the appropriate  atmosphere  for accelerating economic recovery and reviewing the different mechanisms of partnership for development.

 On 6/5/2017, Queen Elizabeth II of Britain  received Pope of Alexandria, Patriarch of St. Mark, ,  Pope Twadros II during his visit to   Britain.

 On 18/3/2017, president Sisi received a delegation from the Council of British Conservative Party for Middle East Affairs, headed by British Minister of State, Hugo Joeyer, who  visited Egypt to communicate and strengthen relations and to get acquainted with the political situation in the region.

 On 25/2/ 2017, British Foreign Minister Boris Johnson visited Egypt and was received by Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry. The visit aims to spur relations between the two countries and  to consult over a number of regional files of common interest. The two sides discussed all aspects of Egyptian-British relations: political, economic and cultural, and means of enhancing and developing them; among which is the issue of restoring British Air flights  to the city of Sharm el-Sheikh.

 On 4/10/2016, a delegation from the English Anglican Church, including a number of bishops from around the world, two of which are members in the British Parliament, visited Egypt to attend a regional meeting of the Anglican Church. The delegation was received by President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi. The two sides discussed means to strengthen international efforts to spread the values ​​of tolerance and coexistence and  support efforts to combat extremist ideology and avoid self-isolation.

 On July 27, 2016, the delegation of the British House of Commons headed by the chairman of Egypt's friends in the British Parliament Gerald Haworth,  paid a visit to Egypt, and was received by President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi.

The delegation also met with a number of officials where  they discussed boosting cooperation between Egypt and Britain and the latest developments in the Middle East. The delegation also paid a quick visit to Sharm el-Sheikh seeking to restore  British tourism in Egypt.

 On 11/5/2016, International Cooperation Minister Sahar Nasr visited England to attend the annual meeting of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, which will be held on the bank's 25^TH anniversary.

On 3/2/2016, Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry paid a visit to England to head the Egyptian delegation to the Donors Conference for Syria  which was held under the auspices of the United Kingdom, Germany, Norway, Kuwait and the United Nations.

On 17/1/2016, a delegation from the British Parliament headed by, Chairman of the Conservative Party for Middle East Affairs, Sir Alan Duncan visited Egypt. The delegation was received by Prime Minister Sherif Ismail. The meeting came in  response to a number of inquiries from the British delegation on the opportunities and investment projects carried out by the government and the advantages granted to investors and the associated procedures related to financial and economic policies.

On 24/11/2015,  Minister of Transport  Dr.Saad Al-Jeyoshi visited Britain to participate in the activities of the 29^th   Session of the Ordinary Session of the General Assembly of the International Maritime Organization in London. Jeyoshi met with, British Prime Minister's personal envoy Jeffrey Donaldson , for the development of trade relations with Egypt.

On 28/9/2015, Minister of Antiquities Mamdouh el-Damati met with a British Egyptologist Nicholas Reeves to listen to his theory regarding the burial of Nefertiti in a hidden chamber of King Tut's tomb. The minister and Reeves then headed to the tomb in the Valley of the Kings to search for the chamber.

On 18/9/2015, Chief of Staff Lt. General Mahmoud Hegazi held talks in London with senior British defense officials on boosting military cooperation. Hegazi held talks with his British counterpart Nick Houghton on the anti-terror war, achieving security and stability in the region and boosting military cooperation between Egypt and Britain.

On 9/9/2015, Foreign Minister Sameh Shourki visited London and met with British Foreign Secretary Philip Hammond. The meeting dealt with the situation in Egypt and preparations for holding the legislative elections, being the third cornerstone of the roadmap announced following the July revolution.

On 10/8/2015, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met with Chief Executive of British Gas Group Helge Lund. Sisi welcomed Helge and praised cooperation between the Group and the Ministry and pleased with British Gas activities in Egypt.

On 17/6/2015, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi held a meeting with British Prime Minister's national security adviser Sir Kim Darroch who handed him an invitation to visit London.

on 9/6/2015, Al-Azhar Grand Imam Ahmed el-Tayyeb arrived in London for talks on coexistence and dialogue among religions. The visit comes at an invitation by Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby as part of a dialogue between Al-Azhar and the British Church.

On 19/11/2015, Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukri met with British National Security Adviser Kim Barock on efforts exerted by the US-led coalition against Daesh militants as well as the Iraqi political crisis.

On 27/10/2014, Foreign Minister Sameh Shourkri met with members of the Egyptian British Business Council and talked about the political changes in Egypt and the progress which was achieved last year.

On 27/10/2014, Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukri discussed with his UK counterpart Philip Hammond the Libya developments and the need to reach a ceasefire there, noting that a military operation in Libya could not solve the problem there.

On 15/5/2014, former Foreign Minister Nabil Fahmi met with British Minister of State for Middle East and North Africa Hugh Robertson along with representatives of major British companies operating in Egypt. The meeting took up boosting relations as well as the current economic situation in Egypt.

On 7/12/2013, former Foreign Minister Nabil Fahmi met with British Foreign Secretary William Hague on the sidelines of the "Manama Dialogue" forum. The meetings took up the latest developments in Egypt, the road map and the constitution that was finished by the 50-member committee and presented to Interim President Adly Mansour.

On 11/09/2012, British Foreign Secretary William Hague discussed with officials bilateral relations and a wide range of issues like Syria, the Palestinian question and developments in the Middle East.

On 21/2/2011, British Prime Minister David Cameron became the first foreign leader to visit Egypt since the downfall of Hosni Mubarak which electrified the Middle East and forced the West to rethink its policies in the region. Cameron visited Tahrir Square and met with the representatives of the various democratic movements.
