On 7/6/2015: Minister of Tourism Khaled Ramy held a meeting with a raft of Bulgarian journalists to discuss plans and programs of the ministry to develop tourism sector in Egypt.
On 12/10/2014: Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukri met Daniel Mitov on the sidelines of an international conference on reconstruction of the Gaza Strip.
On 23/9/2014: President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met President of Bulgaria Rosen Plevneliev on the sidelines of the UNGA 69th session.
The year 2007 witnessed resumption of ministerial mutual visited:
From 5 – 7 March 2008: Sofia hosted the bilateral strategic consultations, which reflected Bulgaria's recognition for Egypt's regional role, especially its role in the peace process, and expressed the desire to strengthen relations through the exchange of high-level visits.
From 16 to 19 October 2007: The Bulgarian Minister of Labour and Social Policy visited Cairo at the bilateral invitation from the Minister of Social Solidarity and Minister of Manpower and Immigration.
In May 2007: The former Bulgarian Interior Minister visited Egypt at the invitation of the former Interior Minister.
On 18/5/2007: Sofia hosted the 9th Round of Political Consultations meeting at the level of Assistant Foreign Ministers. The meeting reflected Bulgaria's recognition for Egypt's international role and its appreciation to the Egyptian regional role, especially its role in the peace process, as well as the desire to strengthen relations through the exchange of high-level visits.
On 3/5/2007: The Bulgarian Foreign Minister participated in the International Compact with Iraq in Sharm El-Sheikh.
On 17–18/4/2007: Cairo hosted the 13th Round of the Joint Committee Meetings, held at the level of Assistant Ministers of Economy and Energy from the Bulgarian side, and the Minister of International Cooperation from Egypt, after a hiatus of four years. The Bulgarian delegation met with the Ministers of Petroleum and State Ministers for Military Production.
Bulgarian President's Visit to Egypt:
In February 2010: Bulgarian Minister of Economy and Energy extended an invitation to the Egyptian Minister of Military Production, Eng. Sayed Meshaal to visit Bulgaria in mid 2010, and the Egyptian Embassy in Sofia sent the invitation to the Egyptian side for response.
In April 2009: Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources visited Sofia to attend Sofia Conference on Energy.
In December 2008: Minister of Petroleum paid an official visit to Bulgaria, which was the first visit for a Egyptian Senior Official since 1982.
From 13 to 15 April 2008: Bulgarian President, Georgi Parvanov and his wife visited Cairo accompanied by an official delegation included Minister of Economy and Energy Petar Dimitrov, which was considered the first bilateral visit at such level since the liberation of Bulgaria from the Soviet hegemony and its openness and integration in the western political and economic systems, during which the Bulgarian President met with President Mubarak, as well as former Prime Minister.
From 1st to 3rd February 2008: Speaker of the People's Assembly paid an official visit to Bulgaria where he was received by the Bulgarian President, Prime Minister, Speaker of the Bulgarian Parliament and the Foreign Minister.
