Cultural Relations

The agreement for Educational and Scientific cooperation signed in 2002 governs the cultural relations between both countries. It has contributed towards increasing the number of scholars pursuing with their post graduate studies in Poland in a diversity of scientific fields of specializations particularity in the forthcoming academic year, moreover the embassy is expecting to receive eleven students from Egypt during the academic year 2010-2011 who have been registered in different universities in Poland.

Poland has an archeological mission in Egypt which has contributed with considerable excavation all around Egypt since its foundation in 1959. The restoration of "Hetchepsut" temple was one of the major achievements the mission has contributed with during the tenure of their presence, and was inaugurated by former President Mubarak in March 2003. In October 2007 the mission celebrated 70 years of their activities in Egypt.

Egypt has participated for the first time in Poland's International Book Fair held in May 2010 with a group of publications for famous Egyptian authors.
