Tourism is one of the most important dimensions in the bilateral relations between Egypt and Poland, which has evolved rapidly in the last four years placing Poland on the 5th rank of countries sending tourists to Egypt, and hence making Egypt a leading destination in the polish tourism market, possessing 45% of the entire tourism market in Poland.
Moreover Egypt has spotted Poland as a promising growing market, and consequently injected a substantial budget for promotional campaign aiming at augmenting the number of tourists in the foreseen future, through promoting several new destinations, not to confine Egypt only to the sea and sun, but furthermore introducing other areas of attraction such as the monumental and historical sites, in addition to the dessert and the oasis.
Being the most popular destination in the Polish society, Egypt was invited as a guest of honor in TT Warsaw, Poland's main tourism fair, held in September, 2009. A high ranking official delegation represented Egypt in the fair accompanied by major tourism companies operating in Egypt, to further explore possibilities to augment the number polish tourists to different tourism destinations in Egypt.
The records of Polish tourists visiting Egypt has augmented in the last three years from only 97 thousand in 2003, the following schedule reflects the significant flow of tourism as follows:

Recently, the Polish national carrier LOT airlines have launched its first direct flight to Cairo on 27th October, 2010, resuming the direct link between the two capitals after twelve years of suspending its operations.
