On 15/3/2015, Pope Tawadros II of Alexandria and Patriarch of St. Mark Diocese received a delegation of the Orthodox Scouts Association in Sweden.

On 12/10/2014, Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukri held a meeting with Swedish Foreign Minister Margot Wahlstrom on the sidelines of the Egypt-hosted Gaza reconstruction conference.
The meeting tackled Egypt's efforts to support the Palestinian national unity government along with means of enhancing bilateral ties in various fields.

From August 27th to 29th, 2009, visit of former Foreign Minister Ahmed Abul Gheit to Sweden.

From August 24th to 26th, 2009, visit of former Minister of Trade and Industry Rashid Mohamed Rashid.

From January 18th to 22nd, 2009, Ms. Ewa Bjorling visited Egypt, where she met with several Egyptian Ministers (Ministers of Environment, Health, Communication and Information Technology, Investment, and Trade and Industry).

In August 2006, visit of former Minister of International Cooperation Fayza Abul Naga.

In November 2004, the visit of former Swedish Prime Minister Göran Persson to Egypt.

Swedish Foreign Minister Carl Bildt paid several visits to Egypt, these visits are as follows:

a) On January 4th, 2009, among the EU Troika delegation’s visit to the Middle East region.

b) On April 5th, 2008, where he held bilateral consultations with former Foreign Minister Ahmed Abul Gheit and former Minister of Trade and Industry Rashid Mohamed Rashid.

c) On June 5th, 2007, where he met with former Foreign Minister Abul Gheit and discussed the Palestinian cause and Sudanese dossiers.

d) In April 2005, these visits were preceded by the visit of former Foreign Minister Laila Freivalds to Egypt to participate in the opening ceremony of Anna Lindh Foundation for Dialogue between Cultures and Civilizations, in Alexandria.
