Egypt is highly regarded by the government and people of Ecuador due to its active role on the international and regional arenas, as well as its great history and diverse culture.

This high regard is further enhanced by the fact that Egypt was, and still is,  the only African and Arab Country to have any form of permanent diplomatic representation in Ecuador since 1961.
