Bilateral Relations are constantly enhanced through the holding of the RP-Egypt Bilateral Consultations which under an agreement signed in 2000, are to be held once a year, alternating between Manila and Cairo.

The last and Sixth round of bilateral consultations between the Egypt and the Philippines was held in Manila in November 2008, where the two sides reviewed the status of bilateral relations and discussed ways to further enhance and deepen cooperation. They also briefed each other on the recent developments on the domestic, regional and international fronts.
