Suez Canal Global Conference

Egypt hosts on February 22-24, 2016 the first Suez Canal Global Conference under the sponsorship of President Abdel Fatah El Sisi.
The First Global Conference on the Suez Canal was held under the theme, "Opportunities and Challenges", to ensure the effective role of the Suez Canal in the World Trade Service, the Egyptian economy, and increasing communication and exchange of views with customers.
The conference aims to introduce the ongoing developments in the channel in terms of the waterway and the services provided, in addition to the flexible marketing policies, and to present the current developments and future projects in various marine and land routes on the level of worldwide.
The Presidency of the Suez Canal Authority invited experts and specialists to participate in the conference to discuss the state-of- the art techniques in the field of maritime transport industry and exchange viewpoints of customers of the Suez Canal Authority, besides presenting current and future projects of the Authority.
A number of ministers, governors, ambassadors, company chairmen, economic analysts of major organizations, representatives of navigation and maritime companies from all over the world are attending the conference.
